Eclectic Night

Program of experimental shorts by talented filmmakers.

On Wednesday the 25th of April we organize a special program by talented filmmakers with the common ground that all their films are experimental in form.
The program will be divided into three parts, each of which will be introduced by the makers, which are present.

Broken – Gwendolyn Nieuwenhuize – 25′ (music by Marijn Slager)

Angel locks herself up in an apartment when she can’t escape her addiction anymore. In this concluded space symbolising her mental state, we witness her struggle with real life, her memories, fears and escape route into the surreal.

Three Wavelengths – Mikko Keskiivari – 9′

In a small village in the Finnish countryside there’s a TV-tower that resonates in the wind, in three different frequencies. This landmark plays a central role in this short documentary video, exploring ideas of scale, distance and perception through a dialogue between two different perspectives in two different times, connected through the physical space and the family relation of the main characters.

To the Power of Three (Insert, Are You Multifocal, Capital Pledge) – Assi Weitz/Rob Gradisen – 12′ (Dutch premiere)
Three stories, unrelated to each other, except for the use of body movement as the only form of expression. Set to the music of the duo Hexenschuss.
